Teacher: English 10-1, English 10-2, RS 35

It has been her pleasure to teach middle school at Camille and St. Francis for the last 22 years. Mrs. Tonery has mostly taught Grade 7, 8, and 9 Language Arts and Social Studies. She is passionate about literacy and is looking forward to continuing this journey and working with high school students.

She grew up in a small northern Ontario town which gifted her a childhood filled with swimming in fresh lakes, camping, quading, and blackflies. She came to Alberta in 1995 and has since loved calling this province home! Mrs. Tonery has 3 beautiful daughters who have all attended Notre Dame High School; her last one graduates this year! They have an adorable Bernadoodle named Finn that makes them laugh every day! Mer hobbies include camping, hiking, and travelling.

She is very excited to join the Notre Dame team this year! It is her hope that she can help foster a love of learning with the students that she teaches. She wants everyone to feel welcome and like their voice is important. Mrs Tonery is a huge believer that things happen as they are meant to, but we must work hard to achieve our goals.
