Teacher: Foods 10, 20, and 30, and CTS Department Head
After high school, Mr. Lerouge completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from the U of A and worked at various jobs in the food industry. After a few years, he returned to school and completed his Bachelor of Education after degree. He taught many grades in both elementary school and middle school before coming to Notre Dame.
Mr. Lerouge is originally from Red Deer and his wife, who is also a teacher, and he have four kids, a rescue dog, a cat and two hermit crabs. His oldest daughter is attending university in BC, his sons are in high school and his youngest daughter is in middle school. They love to travel and they're looking forward to their next adventure. He also loves the opportunities to travel with students and is looking forward to spring break resuming trips and the Japanese exchange.
Mr. Lerouge truly loves to be in the kitchen with students and he values the relationships that develops as they cook together. Teaching Food Studies at Notre Dame has been an amazing opportunity for him as he's done some incredible projects with students including catering events, Food Truck Wars and Restaurant Takeover. He's really looking forward to more adventures with students this year. Bon appetit!
